...their vision and dreams real!
Donald Trump
0 yrs Donald John Trump, Sr. was born June 14, in Queens, New York 1946
13 yrs His parents sent him to the New York Military Academy hoping to channel his energy and assertiveness in a positive manner. 1959
18 yrs Donald Trump graduated from the New York Military Academy. 1964
Trump attended Fordham University before transferring to the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania.
22 yrs After graduating with a bachelor's degree in economics, he joined his father's real estate company, and initially concentrated on his father's preferred field of middle class rental housing. 1968
25 yrs Trump moved to Manhattan. 1971
In the 1970s he benefited from the financially strained New York city government's willingness to give tax concessions in exchange for investment at a time of financial crisis.
Starting with the renovation of the Commodore Hotel into the Grand Hyatt, he continued on with Trump Tower and several other residential projects.
He would later expand into the airline industry and Atlantic City casino business.
44 yrs This expansion, both personal and business, lead to mounting debt. The effects of recession left him unable to meet loan payments. 1990
Although he shored up his businesses with additional loans and postponed interest payments, increasing debt brought Trump to business bankruptcy and the brink of personal bankruptcy.
Banks and bond holders had lost hundreds of millions of dollars, but opted to restructure his debt to avoid risking losing even more in a court fight.
48 yrs Trump had eliminated a large portion of his $900 million personal debt and reduced significantly his nearly $3.5 billion in business debt. While he was forced to relinquish the Trump Shuttle (which he had bought in 1989), he managed to retain Trump Tower in New York City and control of his three casinos in Atlantic City. 1994
he combined his casino holdings into the publicly held Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts.
50 yrs Wall Street drove its stock above $35 in 1996, but by 1998 it had fallen into single digits as the company remained profitless and struggled to pay just the interest on its nearly $2 billion in debt. Under such financial pressure, the properties were unable to make the improvements necessary for keeping up with their flashier competitors. 1996
Donald Trump has seriously attempted to run for President of the United States. In 1996, he ran in the Republican primaries, before dropping out.
53 yrs Donald's father Fred Trump, a multi-billion dollar real estate mogul, died. Fred Trump, the same man who cosigned Donald's first business loans, also happened to be the man who enabled Donald to escape from the massive financial morass he had created over the decades. 1999
Donald Trump once more has seriously attempted to run for President of the United States. In 1999, Trump quit the Republican Party, in preparation for a presidential campaign as a Reform party candidate.
Whereas Donald walked away from his empire unscathed, others were forced to take catastrophic writeoffs and losses even up to 2004, when Trump refused to continue to back his casino.
58 yrs Trump became the executive producer and host of the NBC reality show, "The Apprentice", in which a group of competitors battled for a high-level management job in one of Trump's commercial enterprises. The other contestants were "fired", or eliminated, from the game. The winner of the program is "hired" into The Trump Organization with a 1-year "introductory" contract with a salary exceeding $250,000. 2004
59 yrs In late 2005, New York State Republicans attempted to win back Trump and put him forth as the Republican candidate for Governor in 2006. However, Trump refused and in a shocking move, endorsed Democrat Eliot Spitzer, who holds a huge lead over all his potential Republican opponents. 2005

Dear Mr. Trump I have been working for eight years to develop a luxury residential, beach and golf resort community on the south coast of Jamaica. I have been working with the Jamaican government, who are impressed with the concept. The Commissioner of Land has now granted me permission to begin showing the estates to investors/developers. I partially grew up around the area. When my father was a fisherman, he had built a hut not far from the beach. This is where I would spend time with him on the weekends and holidays. The area is remarkable for its beautiful white sand beach, 40,000 plus acres of undeveloped land, and impressive caves, which are the most beautiful in the Caribbean. Very important, due to a recent change in government, I believe that we can introduce the very first casino on the island. In terms of air transportation; the government has now decided adding Vernamfield Airstrip, the project should begin in September of this year. This airstrip is about 15 miles away from the proposed area. This Airstrip was used as a US Naval Base during World War II. The strip was shut down years ago because it was used to airlift marijuana. I personally visited the site on 06/22/08 and it had piles of rubbish to prevent airplanes from landing. The next closest airport is about 1.5 hours away, which is similar to the distance of the Negril resorts from the Montego Bay airport. There is a well in the area, which indicates that a sufficient water supply could be established. I am looking to partner with developers and investors who can realize this beautiful beach and golf resort in a land of incredible natural beauty. I look forward to speaking with you.
