Rodeo Activation Wins National Country Music Award

Buckle Up! Another rodeo activation award means it's time for a new belt buckle.

The historic Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo has claimed the Academy of Country Music's - Best Fair and Rodeo Award - for the third time. This marks another milestone for one of Houston's most celebrated annual traditions. The award recognizes Rodeo Houston as the top fair and rodeo event in the country, beating out other major rodeo competitions for the prestigious honor. This latest win continues the Houston event's prestigious legacy, having previously captured the same award in 2022 and 2019.

Rodeo Houston officials credited the event's continued success to its extensive network of supporters and volunteers. "Thank you to our 36,000 volunteers, donors and guests for making one of Houston's beloved traditions the biggest and greatest for 93 years," the organization stated in announcing the award.

The ACM award for best Fair/Rodeo of the Year is presented annually to recognize excellence in rodeo and fair production across the United States. The Houston event's repeat wins demonstrate its continued prominence in the national rodeo circuit.

This year's recognition comes as HLSR celebrates over nine decades of operation, having established itself as what organizers call "the biggest and greatest" rodeo tradition in Houston's history.
